The Explorer Scouts slept outside at Mullin Y Carty. On Saturday morning after breakfast the hike continued into Castletown where it finished in the main square. The Onchan Scouts who all finished quite early were all treated to breakfast in a local cafe, before being presented with the special Dusk Till Dawn Badges by Assistant Island Commissioner for Scouts Trevor Denning. Well done to all the Onchan Scouts and Explorer Scouts who made the effort to take part in this activity.

Dusk Till Dawn Hike

The Dusk Till Dawn Hike is an Island activity open to all Manx Scouts and Explorer Scouts. The idea is to hike from Glen Maye in the late evening to Ballasalla, stay overnight in a hall at Ballasalla and then after breakfast hike into Castletown where the activity finishes. It would be great if we could see all Scouts from 2nd Onchan and Explorers from Onchan Explorers taking part. Full details can be found here.

Everyone who completes the hike gets a specially produced badge which can be worn on uniform.
