Five Snaefell Cubs and one Leader from 2nd Onchan went to the Island Cub Camp held over the weekend of the 27th – 29th June.  This years camp was held in St John’s.  This was the first time that the Cubs had been sleeping in Patrol tents and were in for a good weekend.

On Friday night it was arrival and pitching up the tents – Friday’s activities consisted of the Autograph game, Football, Rounders and Long Ball.  After the activities it was off to bed.

Bright and early on Saturday morning the Cubs were up playing football at 4.45am, after breakfast the Cubs were split into groups; activities included: Treasure Hunt, Crate Building, Woggle Making, First Aid, Pancake Making, Chariot Racing, Parachute Game and much, much more.  Saturday evening we had a bonfire, had supper and off to bed.

Sunday was a more relaxing day and activities included football and making rockets.  All in all a very good Island Camp and the weather was great all weekend.
