The Kayak Training Weekend held over the 24. – 25. May 2008, had an early finish on the Sunday due to hind winds. Fourteen Scouts from the Groups two Troops took part along with five Leaders and a couple of Explorer Scouts. On the Saturday afternoon after a briefing session about 1½ hours was spent on the water at Mooragh Park. In the evening everyone enjoyed a barbecue, followed by a bit of spectating during the first Practice Session of the 2008 TT Races. The evening was rounded off with a movie.

On Sunday morning the wind was very strong and after an inspection of the lake it was decided to cancel that days training. We are hoping to reschedule for Sunday 8. June 2008.
