On Friday 7. December 2012, the Phoenix Troop visited the Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service at Peel Road, Douglas. During the visit the Scouts were shown round the station and the various Fire engines and Rescue Equipment. Everyone also got to go up the Bronto Skylift, which can go up to 32 metres in height. One Scout was even ‘rescued’ from the training tower, using the skylift.

At the end of the evening new member Matthew R. was invested as a Scout up in the air on the Skylift.

A big thank you to ‘Red Watch’ for looking after us. They had to dash off on a call, just as we were finishing our visit.
