Thursday Beavers recently visited Onchan Elim Church. This visit, as well as forming part of their Faith Activity Badge and Promise Challenge, was also an opportunity to meet new people and see new places in their local community.

The Beavers had a fantastic time. The Reverend John Powell made everyone feel very welcome. He explained a little bit about the Pentecostal Church and the different types of things that they do at the Church – from ceremonies to youth groups. The Beavers enjoyed looking at all the different flags in the Church, each one representing the country of the members of the Onchan Elim Church congregation. I believe there were 26 different flags! The Beavers were able to go downstairs and see the rooms which are used by the Playgroup and the Youth Club. They finished the evening with juice and a couple of sweets.
