Seven Tuesday Beavers and fourteen Thursday Beavers met on Friday night for a Sleepover / Movie Night at the Scout Hall. All the Beavers were very, very excited – for some it was their first night away from home. We started the evening with some games followed by juice and biscuits. Then it was time to get ready for the movie! We just about managed to fit twenty-one Beavers along the side wall, so they all had a good view of the film. Once they were in their PJs, the snacks came out and the movie started. There were numerous visits to the kitchen for juice and hot chocolate, followed by numerous visits to the bathroom! At 10.30pm it was time for bed, and after half an hour most of the Beavers began to settle down and some were even asleep! It was just after midnight when the last Beaver fell asleep and about 4.10am when the first Beaver woke! Luckily it was just a bathroom visit and all was quietish again (apart from the fidgeting and coughing) until 6.30am! Not a single tear was shed and no-one asked to go home (apart from our senior Leader!) – making the evening a resounding success. Thanks to all the Leaders and special thanks to Chris, Aaron and Ellen for all your help too. Thanks also to Phoenix Scouts for letting us use the hall on their Troop Night.
