imageOver the weekend 7. – 8. January 2012, the Manannan Cub Scout Pack ran a training weekend for the Sixers and Seconders in the Pack. We all met at the Scout Hall in Onchan and after a short briefing we walked down to Happy Valley to make small camp fires, we successfully made two camp fires and roasted marshmallows on them. As the fires were going out we headed back to the Scout Hall for a juice break before playing a couple of wide games in the glen. For dinner we had a chippy tea which went down very well with all the Leaders and the Cubs. After we had cleared up after dinner we played traditional Scouting games for a couple of hours and after everyone was tired, we sat down and watched a movie on the big screen. The next morning everyone was awake by 8am, and after breakfast we taught all the Cubs how to tie and break the flag, and also on how to improve the grand howl. We finished with a few more games before everyone heading home.
