Scouts, Explorer Scouts, Leaders and Dogs took part in the Millennium Way Hike over the weekend of the 21. – 22. July 2012. Due to other commitments some Scouts were only able to do the one day, but seven Scouts and two Explorer Scouts managed to complete the whole 26 miles, some with pretty sore feet at the end. Well done to everyone who took part. The Millennium Way in one part of the Three Legs Challenge.

You will need suitable gear for walking in the hills, including waterproofs and hiking boots. You also need to bring a packed lunch contained in a daysac.

We should be finished for the days walking at St. Lukes Church (Grid Reference 360 823) for about 15:00 (any different and we call your parents when we are about an hour away).

On Sunday 17. June, we will be meeting at St. Lukes Church for 10:00 and finishing in the main square at Castletown for about 15:00 (any different and we call your parents when we are about an hour away). Again you need suitable gear for walking in together with waterproofs and a packed lunch.

Saturday walking is mostly walking over the hills while on Sunday it’s mainly roads and footpaths.

Hope to see you there.
